sorry it's supposed to be £4.74 not 34.340 -
1 x DORITOS NACHO CHEESE DIP300G £ 1.98 £ 1.98
1 x DORITOS TANGY CHEESE 225G £ 1.98 N/A
2 x OLE EL PASO TOMATO & PEPPER FAJIT KIT 500G £ 6.44 N/A
I always check asda site before I do my deliberate price check shop(after putting together list on mysupermarket) to make sure all the items are listed and the same price or cheaper in asda. but 2 of my items came back as N/A dont know how tesco managed that one as if you copy tesco's text from above and search the asda site you get one result the correct item.
So £5.40 short.(good job they have an 0800 number)
called tesco to complain and got feed some nosence about them not comparing items that were on promotion in asda and not on promotion in tesco:mad:, told them that promotions on offers are often show on both the tesco and asda sides of price check but they just told me to send in proof of that to head office as they are not ment to do that.
Looked at price check T&C's to see if they had changed and it told me what I knew "includes price reductions and promotions" so time for a second phone call.
had someone much more helpful this time:) and after 10 minutes on the phone, gift card for £5.40 on the way:j and hopefully they will fix the N/A problem.0 -

Seems like a huge amount of effort. Why don't you just get the cheaper items at ASDA? There is one in Leamington I believe.0 -

potato Dauphinoise 450g T£ 2.50 A £1.75(used to be £1,25)
yes, Asda have put up the price of the Dauphinoise by 50p - spoilsports :rotfl:
So now only 75p difference instead of £1.25.0 -

I drive past an Asda on my way to Tesco. However, I do this as well. I do it mainly for the clubcard points so I can spend them on days out. Most of the time the products track anyway.0 -

Even with all the extra effort I put in this time! it is worth going to tesco most of the time. it is just a 6 minute walk from my home plus I get clubard points on the tesco price. I do sometimes go to asda and when I do I have a nice list or somtimes lists of 8 or more items that are cheaper or the same price at tesco/sainsbury and use the asda price guarantee to get 10% cheaper than at tesco/sainsbury
besides most of the time items track and I did have a nice size price check voucher to use.0 -
JTD - this is the first I have heard of it - I must have been sleeping the past few months! So let me get this right. I have a Tesco near me and my Asda is a lot further away. Quite often they have nice deals but it is not worthwhile making a special trip. So knowing that the items are cheaper in Asda, I buy them from Tesco and I get the difference paid to me? Does it mean a lot of queuing at the customer services or do I just do it online? Is there a limit on how much I can claim per receipt? I have read the terms and conditions online but it is too much to take in. Grateful for any tips. Thanks in advance.0

have a look at the first post of the original thread on this subject here, it explains the procedure quite well. Although you will have to ignore the references to DTD (double the difference) as Tesco changed it from that to JTD (just the difference) once they realised it was costing them a fortune!0
