Any ideas for a muppet who hasnt got a clubcard ?

Do a shop, offer your points to the person in the queue behind you, look at your receipt and it'll have their clubcard on it bar the last digit, then all you need to do is guess the last digit when you're putting it in on the price promise website.

Or at least I think that's what people are getting at.

I'm expecting to be asked to show the clubcard used.

None of the T&C says you need a clubcard to redeem the voucher. Plus, you're allowed to forget your clubcard - everyone is human.

I'd argue that the clubcard was used when putting the voucher in online, so it's all linked in together anyway. Then I'd probably say 'well try and put it through the till - if it needs a clubcard then it doesn't allow you to beep it'. And we know it will let them put it through.

Womble any receipt in the carpark that has a clubcard number and guess the last digit. Easy peasy.

I dont really see it as a risk at the moment. They dont seem to be in a hurry to enforce and hopefully they will have some comms in place at the time. Even if they dont, you have possibly lost one voucher and you can argue with Customer Relations for compensation or just go and get your money back.

I am carrying on with my shops as before and not worrying about them.

Talk about famous last words.... :o

Couple of questions for the more knowledgable folk on here..

Is anyone still awaiting emails from a few days back (prior to the update requiring clubcard etc)? - Have re-entered them tonight as I reckon it's been 5 days + and got the receipt is being processed etc...

Also, got a couple of emails back (one for 3p @ Mr A :j) but now the emails don't tell you what receipt # or date so you have to search through.... annoying - anyone else noticed this?

All mine recently have come back the next day. Input the receipt details again and change the time to 12 hour/24 hour if you did you shop in the evening, or change the time by 1 minute.

Yeah noticed that. Forward them back to yourself with the number in the subject :D

Funny thing is they came back this morning. Only matching 1 thing out of about 25 for Asda..

I guess Asda dont sell McVities Chocolate Digestives amongst other items even though I had a JTD before on that very item).

Also they had listed a Morrisons price match of £21 for some cheese (yeah right)...

Looks like razors still the way to go for anyone wanting to get a new £10 voucher. Buy 2 of these:

    http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesco-compare-prices/mens_toiletries/gillette_fusion_proglide_manual_razor_olympic_gold_edition.html

Total cost £19.98 in T, but £8 in A, so that'll get you a £10 voucher (capped to £10 from £11.98). The new terms say you need to by 8 items, so pick up any other 6. As long as their not more than £1.98 cheaper in T than in A, you'll still get £10 voucher. Just get some cheap items you'd use anyway but avoid any of T's special offers and Bob's your uncle.

Its no longer possible to make a voucher "extend" it

(very little interest in T recently hense why i didnt bother getting around to using them :D )
