I didn't think the credit card company would help if the company give you back your money?travelover0

@Littlereddevil,
From what I have read of this problem the it will cost more to re-book the original holiday than TR are prepared to offer. IF the original booking was paid by credit card under the Consumer Credit Act the card supplier shares the liabillity so should be willing to take up the case on behalf of the card holder.
That is to say they will either make a Section 75 of the CCA 'Chargeback' claim from TR for the increase cost of the new booking or 'persuade' TR to think again.
As I have posted a call to Consumer Direct will guide @Craig Charles as to how to proceed with his dispute with TR. I know by my own experience with this company that they are not the easiest to deal with when they are at fault.

Try to push him for 10% or you`ll have your money back and never use them again.
Plenty of others Alpharooms,Hotels4U,Monarch,Teletext Holidays etc.
They all do packages and are online.
Good luck.
Be very surprised if you get 10% out of them. The impression they gave me was that they just couldn't care less if you take your business elsewhere.0 -

I have heard of them but have never used them and thanks for the heads up
obviously one to avoid.
I don`t know the OP circumstances and how much he wants this holiday but I would have asked for at least 10% to accept their mistake or asked for my money back and started again.
Maybe he can`t be as flexible as that but hopefully will return here and let us know how he got on.0
