great virgin mobile deal

My brother was telling me someone from virgin phoned him up and offered a great deal for £5 a month, but I cant remember all the details, I think it was 400 mins, unlimited texts and 1gb internet. He has tv, broadband and home phone and 3 mobiles, all now on the £5 a month.
Wondering if anyone else has got that or heard of it?

Sounds as though it is the standard 'Quad Play' deal offered to VM customers. It's fine as far as it goes, but I dislike virtual networks (VM uses T-Mobile) and you need to be sure you have decent coverage.

Hey hampshirebabe I was wondering if you wouldn't mind asking him exactly what he got for the £5 a month deal. I want to ring up and ask for this when my contract ends. It sounds like a v good deal!!

I hope you don't mind cheers

  • Only reason I didn't ask was because I didn't have time to chat on the phone that evening. I called him the next day and he's getting 400 mins, unlimited texts and 1gb data. He doesn't have tv, he uses freeview, and its way more than the quad deal mobile. I tried phoning and telling them I was thinking of leaving but the woman I spoke to just quoted whats on the website and said they dont have any deals.

Thanks guys sorry for the delay.

hampshirebabe-Yeah Virgin can be stifflers for getting deals sometimes..maybe try again and ask another person? I remember reading that only a certain amount of customer service members are allocated deals etc so it's pot luck who you get through to.

ilovelacoste- thanks I think i'll ask when it's nearer to the end of my contract and see what's available..that's not a bad deal but I don't know anyone on virgin..I could try and persuade my OH and other members of the fam though for the right price lol!!

    Cheers again

I have a SIM only £15 deal which gets 200 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited Virgin to Virgin minutes & 1 GB. That's fine for me but each month they charge me £15 and then credit £10 back.
Every so often however, they forget to credit the £10 so I have to call them. Getting a bit cheesed off doing that but since I cancelled their broadband a year ago, cannot shout too loudly as this is a VM customer deal.

I have just switched to a sim only 30 day rolling contract and get 300 mins unlimited texts/virgin to virgin and 1gb data. I cut the sim down and use it in my iphone.
It costs £18 a month but they credit me £13 each month so I end up paying £5.
Have been with virgin for 2 years and find their CS excellent.

600 mins, 3000 (unlimited) texts, unlimited V to V, 2GB data, for around £7/month. Some months it's £10, some months it's £4, depends if they remember to apply the credit to the account.
