I am planning to a short break for early March but can not decide which of the two will be better. Went to Salou this time last year and it was 'dead'. I do not exepect resorts to be byuzzing at this time of the year however would prefer a bit of evening life.
Any suggestions?

I dont think you would get particularly good weather if thats what you want.
I would try the Canaries, we always go out of season as the weather is hot all the time. Alternatively a city break like Barcelona or Madrid ?
It depends what you want.
I wouldnt go to either Costa Blanca or Brava, it will be like being at home (imo)Just owe Dad £2500 for a new car

Costa Blanca, definetly weather wise. Love it or hate it, but Benidorm is always pretty busy0

Thanks for your help. It seems Costa Blanca is a better option from my point of view. I suppose I could fly to Valencia, Alicante or Murcia and drive to the resort from there. Any suggestion on Best Flight and Accommodation for 2 or 3 March for a few days?

For example:
2 March: Ryanair 07:30-11:00 Londres Stansted - Valencia
6 or 7 March: Ryanair 21:25-22:50 Valencia - Londres Stansted

Hiring a car will cost you around £25/30 a day for a small car + normally a non refundable FULL TANK OF FUEL so another 50/60 euro.It depends which resort you plan to stay in, but IMO unless ther are at least 4 of you,and the flight prices are really low compared to Alicante its not cost effective to fly into Murcia or Valencia for Benidorm.
Shuttledirect or Resorthoppa do shared transfers for around £25 rtn. from Alicante. A taxi from Murcia is about £120 EW, Valencia a bit more0 -
Budgetflyer,
There will be atleast 3 of us. I will check fares for Alicante and others to compare. Any suggestions on resort or accommodation?

Blanca is much more temperate and would be my choice.Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind. - Albert Einstein.

Costa Blanca has a bit more life at this time of year.
It all depends where you are flying to as to where you stay, if its Valencia you can drive or bus it to Benidorm same with Alicante.
Easy Jet are cheaper than BMI but be warned Easy Jet might not fly to Valencia from your chosen airport if its still the winter timetable.
Def worth having a few days in Valencia as its a fantastic city with so much to see and then going onto where ever your staying, I also recommend a visit to Gandia (a bit biased cos we have a flat there;) a lovley town and port area.
The Costa Blanca ports are preparing for the Americas Cup at the moment so most areas having huge amount of monies invested in them.
Benidorm is ideal if you like English Bars etc, but if you like the true Spain head towards the Valencia region.
Also if you are in the Valencia region on the 19th March you will witness the most spectacular fire burning (Fallas), every year the communities of the region build enormous effergies(sp!) of someone in paper mache, there is also a Fallera Queen and attendants, its a very colourful event and really worth seeing, the children also have their own small falla as well, the kids fire is usually lit about 9pm and then the other fires about 12 midnight, the idea is you follow the fires, which are usually on street corners, you will be amazed at how high the fires are (at least 20 ft) having a small drink in the local bars as you make your way around...........its great, you end up going to bed about 3am shattered:D
Oh and the Bomberos (Fireman) on stand by are lush to:rolleyes:
We are going over on the 18th March just for the Fallas:D
Fell free to pm me if you need any advice
