Not looking for medical advice as that isn't allowed and there is the option to ask GP for anti-sickness pills but would rather not, so, anyone who suffers from vomiting due to prescribed drugs, what alternatives have you found to try and control it?
Appreciate any advice

Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.

Unless the label on the medication specifiies that it must be taken on an empty stomach / an hour before food, you may find having something light to eat beforehand cuts down on the nausea.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Thank you.
Have tried taking a while after food but to no avail. The possible side effects state that vomiting is one of them but it should ease after a couple of days. Sadly not.
The flat cola sounds familiar, so will try that. Have not heard of flat lemonade, but anything is worth a try right now.Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. My mum's doctor used to suggest eating ice cream after taking the medication.
I used to suck mints after taking medication to reduce nausea and vomiting - fortunately I got swapped onto a different medication after awhile so no longer need to anymore.0 -

I had ice cream yesterday - not to try to reduce vomiting, but it came back up
It seems everything I eat right now isn't staying down. Eating mints though, just to remove the awful taste I have in my mouth
Thank you, though.

I would be having a chat with your GP. It may be the dosage can be reduced or another drug to do the same job may suit better.
If you're vomiting it back then it's doubtful you are getting the full benefit of the medicine even.0 -

Very True. When I went onto Fentanyl I became very ill when the doseage was increased and I was bringing up clear liquid, which is just the medication being rejected by the body.
What is the medication for? Can you name it? (sorry not sure if this is allowed)[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

I've found ginger tea to be very good. Just peel and then grate a small piece of fresh root ginger, pour boiling water over and leave to stand for a few minutes then strain and sip.
Also you can always grate the ginger when you're feeling better and freeze it in portions ready to use when you're not feeling so good.
I find it works better than stuff I've been prescribed.
