Beko WM5120W not draining

Hi all, my Beko WM5120W washing machine isn't draining properly. I can hear it drain but not all the water leaves the machine, any ideas? I have cleaned the filter but not joy. Thanks, K

    Kinked or blocked drain hose?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • We've now realised the drum isn't spinning either, perhaps it's plumber time!

Get ready to buy a new machine as this is probably the electronics. It certainly was on our Beko. Try for a free repair estimate?
Life is like a box of chocolates - drop it and the soft centres splash everywhere
  • Hi,

it could be as simple as the belt has slipped or broken.

When you spin the drum do you feel a bit of resistance, or does it spin freely?
  • Oh dear, probably shouldn't have gone for the cheap machine! We've only had it 18months!

Hi, there is some resistance when you spin the drum.
  • What you need to do is empty the machine with some very big and thick towels and a bowl. Pull the machine forward enough to get the waste pipe, then disconnect it and lower it into the bowl. Be ready with the towel to bung the hose while somebody else empties the bowl!

After that, check the filters and pump for any blockages.

The washer probably can't spin because it can't get the water out - or at least not fast enough.
  • We've emptied the water and run some water back through the pipe, a lot of gunk came out so will try a rinse.
