Hi
Any good offers for non-cashback contracts? I would be hoping for
something in the £15-20/month bracket with a phone I could peddle on
Ebay.
Vodafone are offering me £12.50/month for 9 months (12 month contract)
going up to £25. No new phone though. I think I can do better...
Wanting to avoid making life centre around Recorded Mail posting of
statements and small print.

Check out the Three website.
Plenty of 18 month deals at £17.50/month (based around 1/2 price line rental for 18 months, increasing to £35/month after 18 months).
Also a couple of £15/month for life tariffs. Choice of either (a) 500 mins or (b) 75 mins + 600 texts.
All of the above with a selection of free handsets.
Quidco cashbacks are high on these also - IIRC, it's currently either £70 or £100, depending on your selection.

Ah
Unfortunately I was really hoping to keep my old 2G phone - so can't do 3. Which is a shame as they look really great.
T-mobile and Orange had offers a few months ago, but I don't see anything at the moment.0 -

Why not throw the new Three £15/month deals (and also their 18 months 1/2 price deals) at Vodafone as evidence that you have your eye on a non-Vodafone alternative. Also, ask for your PAC code to take your number with you.
Remember to tell them that none of these deals relies on cashback as Voda like to scaremonger prospective leavers with an unreasonably negative view of cashback deals (such that NONE of them are genuine).
While the customer service representative doesn't have the power to reduce your bills further and throw in a free handset, their outbound department does.
They are called "outbound" because you cannot phone them...they can only phone you. By leaving Voda with the knowledge that not only do you intend to take your business elsewhere but also that there are offerings available elsewhere that beat their current offer to you it is very likely that your details will be passed to the outbound department who will contact you and propose a better deal than the one you were previously offered by the CS department.
However, the above is contingent on your last three months spend averaging out at more than £25/month (the higher the better) - as, bizarrely, this is how they measure what they are allowed to offer you to tempt you to stay.
