  • I use one of the crystal deodorants from Holland & Barrett. Originally it was to avoid using anti-perspirants, but now keep using it cause it's a lot cheaper! It's a bit expensive when you first buy it, but it lasts for ages. I got one of the small travel size ones and have been using it for a year now. It doesn't stop you sweating, but it stops the smell. And it really does work!

Thanks for that. Do you have to actually have to buy something with Kelkoo or just do a search?

    Just do a search :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Day 4

It seems its a one sided effort after yesterdays flamboyant trip in to town from OH  Ok not really mad meerly peeved off.

My free dentist visit turned in to a bit of a drama after a slight reaction to the anasthetic:eek: for some reason it paralised half my face but my jaw clammed shut so have to go back next wednesday and be put under but rather that than the droopy eye stroke face i had yesterday, through out all that the little princess sat, got drilled and filled without any tears :T very proud of her.

How ever agree to meet OH in town after, posting was all he needed to do apparently:rotfl:

With my one eyed piratesque wobble walk (think i must have been in shock, hate dentist with a passion) i see OH struggling with 3 big boots bags, and a wilkinsons bag, i attampt to shout !!!!!! have you bought and end up sounding completly blotto at the exact same time as the bee's knee's mum from school (every school has them) drives past very slowly with her roof down and there we are stood outside wetherspoons having an attempt at a barmy and worst of all the yummy mummy shoots OH one of those "i know, its hard work" look

Where's that hole in the ground:cool:

So OH's shopping spree came to
waterpik £9.00 (he thought it would be nice for my teeth as floss makes my gums bleed)
8 items of baby clothing £1 each (can you understand why our son has 2 sets of drawers with a dad like this)
3 outfits for baby £2 each (all clothes ranging up to 3 years)
2 sets of 2 cotbed sheets £2 each (ok i forgave him for this as they work out at £1 each)
    2 sets of 2 avent dummies 50p each (they are pink:confused: )
4 avent drinking cup with spout thingys £1 each:eek: (ok too good to walk past)
replacment spouts 25p per pack (again i forgave him)
16 various jars of cow and gate big jars for 22p each (jammy git) + triple point voucher too
3 packs of huggies reduced to £2.49 each + triple points+ 300 point voucher if we bought a pack, he had 3 vouchers. making them effectivly free

3 single bed sets for £2 each including sheets.

His wallet is now mine and he gets pocket money, his idea not mine:o

To make up for it he made some croisants last night with our daughter and set the slow cooker away before he left for work:j

you poor thing, at least it didnt cost you anything though for the 'different' look.

if you wanted to earn some money whilst looking 'different' you could see if the circus is in town ............only joking!

you are inspiring, and write very well, there could be a book in there. found Leo Hickmans more readable than Judith Levines (thats just my opinion) but both fascinating.

Thank you carolbee, i am starting to get the feeling back in my chin now, its a very odd feeling indeed, lol
  • Lol - stick to yer guns Lauren! I know just how you feel about one-sided frugality - I had to tell DH to stop eating all the fruit yesterday  As in, I buy a large sack (maybe I exaggerate, but I don't think so...) of bananas and oranges, then think no I mustn't eat those, there aren't many left the kids need the vitamins more than me etc only to find DH sat in his office surrounded by fruit peel. Aaargh! They're supposed to last more than one day! I'm gonna have to ration food around here to make any leeway on our budget, I can see :p

And your "yummy mummy" encounter made me laff - whenever I dash down to school looking like I woke up ten minutes ago (which I probly did) I am guaranteed to bump into a posh mum :o

You are a very inspiring MSEr! Best o luck to you :j
:TProud to be dealing with my debts :T

Hope you're having a good week, Lauren!

Holland &Barrett sometimes do a 2 for 1 on these crystal deodorants too. I bought 2 full size ones about 18 months ago and have only just started on the second one.
And yes, I agree - they do work, and are much healthier for you than the anti-perspirants.
