24 month contract feels like a ball and chain

  • Further to my previous message, here's a possible option:

    Buy iPhone 4 from 3 on a pay-as-you-go £399.99 (lets say £400)
    3 SIM 600 12 month plan = £12 per month x 12 = £144
    2nd year if I haven't been made redundant £12 x 12 = £144
Total = £688 with the option to get out after 12 months.

    Seems like a good option.

    I'm open to further suggestions!

    I am FREE....

    Called to cancel the payments to o2 today and retentions have offered me the following;

    i phone 4s 16gb. £165 12 month contract £37 per month

    " " £75 24 month £32 per month

    " " Free 24 month £36 per month

I have to go with o2 as no other provider has coverage at my house. The data and minutes are more than sufficient. Tesco may also work as they use o2

    What shall I do?

The first deal is much better. As the phone costs £499 you pay about £9 p.m. for the airtime.
For two other options it is £14 and £15 respectively. Primitive primary school maths.

True but what is even easier than primitive maths is have someone else work it out

Also with 12 months. I should get good re-sale on the phone if I want a new I-phone 5

    Thanks:D

Well, I would rub some liniment into your ankle, give it a bit of a stretch and then get ready for your self-inflicted new ball and chain.

See you in 18 months - less if the handset gives up the ghost ! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

i can live with a ball and chain for 12 months. But you are right 18 or 24 is too much.
But a new i-phone is just too tempting
