Lamb Price to Rocket ?

I'm generous, I take note of the charity adverts doing the rounds. So how about this.... have a leg of lamb from a poor farmer but in return give them enough couscous to last them 5 years. I mean, that's a good trade, that will keep them going. I'll even throw in a fishing net.
You'd have to ask the farmers lol. I'm not in a position to be agreeing trading terms lol.'Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves'0 -

I couldn't buy lamb even before any virus threat, eat chicken or pork if the price is too high.lindseykim13 wrote: »Yes thats all fine but my point still stands that there is no point to this thread-it isn't achieving anything by pointing out that the price of lamb may rise. Things always rise in price when something is in demand.0

Before Christmas I asked my local butcher for some lamb shanks, he told me it was too expensive and he hadn't bought have any in.I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -

I never said it was down to me, i have an opinion that this thread is pointless as it is over something that hasn't happened yet. You also have an opinion which you have posted. Aren't we lucky its a free an open forum where people can post what they like.geordie_joe wrote: »Because you like moaning and like complaining about other people moaning?
You must also like moaning about me moaning about moaning toogeordie_joe wrote: »If you don't like the thread, or think it is pointless why not stop reading it and go and do something you enjoy?
you know i think i should but then again you took so much time to reply to my points that i thought it only fair to politley respond, good day to you0 -

We usually buy when on offer, but got some reduced in
Costco this week0 -
I love lamb, but if the cost is too high, I buy something else.
Usually the discount meat store I go to has cheap lamb.....Usually when the wholesale packer is overstocked because no one is buying it as it was too expensive....NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -

but surely a part of being a savvy shopper is also to forward plan... soooooooo if there is a possibility that lamb will go up in price by a noticable amount, then if you like lamb, and it is something you eat either on a regular basis or a treat, then it will be a savvy shopper that will be looking out for bargin priced lamb..
so this thread is not pointless at all.......
I would also say that this thread, has also highlighted, it might be worth trying to keep our farmers in business by buying direct....whether it is meat, fruit and veg, eggs etc....Work to live= not live to work0 -
And why shouldnt the farmers try and recoup their losses ? Do you know how much a Farmer gets for his lambs ? its probably only a 10th of the retail priceI love lamb, but if the cost is too high, I buy something else.

same for us , so if prices are going to rise should we not tell each other if we think it`s a valid point ?COOLTRIKERCHICK wrote: »but surely a part of being a savvy shopper is also to forward plan... soooooooo if there is a possibility that lamb will go up in price by a noticable amount, then if you like lamb, and it is something you eat either on a regular basis or a treat, then it will be a savvy shopper that will be looking out for bargin priced lamb..
