O2 vs Sky Broadband

Hi everyone, I've been using O2 broadband for a few years now, but considering to take Sky broadband because they are doing a good deal at the moment, so I was wondering if it's worth switching? Did anybody have O2 before and then switched to Sky broadband? As for O2 I'm fed up with their connection dropping all the time, can't even stream youtube properly, have to pause and wait till it loads. Love their customer services though. So did anyone have experience with O2 and Sky? Who is better? Thanks for your answers!

Are you referring to Sly LLU, or Sky Connect (non-LLU)? Very different products.
Can you get Sky LLU? if not, forget it--Sky Connect is dire.
Are you on O2 LU or O2 Access?
The problems you are having could be on the line, or down to your equipment or set up, not necessarily anything to do with O2.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Does the O2LLU All rounder throttle you at peak times?

I think all new O2 broaband packages throttle at certain times. As for me I'm on a O2 legacy package so no idea if it's LLU or not, how can I find out that? As for sky I was considerig the broadband they currently have on promotion, but they don't seem to mention if it's LLU or not.

I decided to extend the O2 contract, they fixed the speed and offered me 6 months free!

I was with o2 on their old package for a good 3 years, my sky TV came up for renewal, i gave them a call got free landline and broadband free for a whole year! The internet is truly unlimited and so far i'm super happy, with o2 i was only getting 10-11 mb but since being with Sky my speed is constantly 19meg, so I would definitely recommend sky over o2
