Stop feeling scared, Ross! That's what they want you to feel, as it's the only way they will ever get any money out of you! What has happened up to now, have you been ignoring, or is there any previous communication?
As for this crap, file it under reference 1-GNORE.0 -
I'm only 19

I don't want it affecting my police application
I've done the militant approach and not contacted them at all0 -

if you are joining the police you will understand about civil law, this will not effect your application to them at all, this is a well known scam and there are thousands of threads on here, and all will say the same, ignore private parking companies, they will not take it to the small claims, they will just send you junk mail.
Please read the sticky threads, and watch all the watchdog videos about this, its from the BBC and Ann Robinson.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
It only came as a shock since it was apparently last July or something when I overstayed in a KFC carpark while my dad was buying a new car....
Anyway Thanks for the advice and I'll continue to ignore them0 -
The most they could do is take out a civil case for the loss you caused.
I trust it was a free car park ?
The loss in NOTHING !
Anything else is a penalty which they can not charge.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Yes, its a free car park0

Well, it's sorted, then. As they don't know who the car driver was and you aren't going to tell them, then even if they had a rush of blood to the head and thought about REALLY taking it to court, they couldn't anyway- it's only the driver they can pursue, not the owner/keeper.
Job done Ross. Just be kind to me if you stop me for speeding one day!
Oh, and when you do join the Police, why not investigate them for this scam?
It looks suspiciously like demanding money with menaces to me....0 -
I'm currently in the process of applying justnow, so I don't have a job yet !0

well I can tell you your training will be focused on "suspicion first" in every situation.
So as you sniffed this with suspicion, you will be a good cop.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

CE don't do Court and this cannot affect your credit rating. It is nothing.
But as I said to the other poster with this letter and fake Court papers - REPORT it to Trading Standards and the Office of Fair Trading - this breaks debt collection and BPA guidelines.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
