Sky+ vs V+

Anyone know of any consumer tests for the new Virgin V+ service? We're current Sky+ customers and love everything about it apart from the cost!!
We already have broadband plus unlimited phone service from Telewest (now Virgin) - it'd seem to make sense to switch to Virgin for all three services.
Any chance of an article in this week's tip on this Martin?! All their advertising in the press this weekend is confusing a LOT of people...

Okay, got a bit of an update. Phoned Virgin yesterday. As an ex-Telewest customer we were paying £44.75 (after our previous 12 months renegotiation had ended) for:
2MB broadband
Talk Unlimited
Caller display
And around £55 per month to Sky for Sky+ including some sports and some movies.
Virgin have offered me:
2MB broadband
Talk Unlimited
Caller display
XL TV package
V+ box (with four times the capacity of my Sky+ box!) no installation charge
for £54.50. Again, a lifetime deal.
Then phoned Sky and was offered the same package for £10 less.
Virgin are calling me back this morning so I'll see if they can match it. I'd prefer to stick with them to avoid potentially having to change phone number, email addresses etc AND because the V+ box doesn't carry an additional charge (maybe that's because we're existing customers though, I'm not sure). Also Sky's 2MB broadband has a very low download limit and Virgin's is unlimited...
Will let you know how I get on.
Hope this helps someone.0 -
you will also have £11 line rental with BT.
You haven't got the sports channels either, I wouldn't have sky without them!
I pay £30 for 2MB BB and Talk Unlimited. I get a recurring credit each monthh.
Plus £42.62 for the Total Sky package with two Sky plus systems.
£43.50 - 20% plus £10 Sky+.
Total is £73.00 per month.
Could I do better ?nothing.0
