I've always been puzzled as to how being 'unable to walk or virtually unable to walk' can be hidden????0

Liverpool city council
Hahahahaha!!! Never!!!!
Lovely city but by God I have never come across so many 'dodgers' of BB's, as I have in that fair city. And I have lived in most cities of Britain in my life.
No wonder they have it way up 13 flights of stairs. Anybody making it to the top will be refused a BB! A very subtle way of weeding them out.
Oh I could tell you a few tales about the 'scams' and 'cons' that I have witnessed there!
In just one 1 week period in hospital in Liverpool, in a ward consisting of 6 beds, one patient was 'shooting up' every day, another was handcuffed to the bed, and a third smoked, disappeared for most of the day to a pub in his night clothes, and one night tried to smuggle a lady of the night onto the ward and into his bed!!!0 -
You get that in any big cityjust passing through.... Nothing to see....0

Clearly the Equalities act has NOT yet reached Liverpool - I would have LOVED to have telephoned them to ask what reasonable adjustments they make to their service in order to allow a wheelchair user or any other person with a mobility problem to access their premises
this type of stupidity by local Government departments drives me insane...........0 -

It does make a change to see that something is being done about the widespread abuse of the Blue Badge scheme.
How many times do we see people getting out of a car after putting up a BB and appear to be perfectly fit.
A BB should only be used when the person to whom it is issued to is present in the vehicle. There is nothing stopping an able bodied driver pulling in and letting out the disabled person, then finding a car park to park in as all other motorists do.
It has become that bad in my Tesco store car park that nobody obeys the disabled bays anymore.
Last Friday out of 46 spaces, only 7 were showing a BB! And to top it all I watched one young lady get out of her Volvo 4x4, go to the back of the vehicle, open the rear bootlid, collect up at least 5 'bags for life' AND put a haversack on her back. Then she walked away without a care in the world. Why, maybe because it was raining and she wanted to park close to the main doors.
The BB scheme is a joke. In my town if we take it that the BB brigade are all disabled, we must have near on 45% of the towns population that are disabled.
This explosion of BB's came about when the council decided to charge for all on street parking. Residents pay £375 a year for one space outside their home.
if you took the time and had the energy to check 46 windscreens for blue badges then you could have used the energy to park in a normal space.
what do you gain from counting cars etc? vigilantism is extremely sad. leave the parking wardens to their job.
i have a blue badge which i only use when i feel i need it. some days i park in a normal spot because i dont need it. i probably look totally normal on leaving the car on arrival at the shops even on days where i have used my badge.. i dont give a rats !!! what anyone assumes from that. the spaces are not their private property and are not "theirs" as some would try and lead folks to believe.0 -
Ignore uponahill - he/she/it is clearly a member of the underbridge dwelling brigade.....0

Like when it's raining perchance? That's when I notice it most..
All BB users are equal; but some are more equal than others0
