I purchased a Kodak ESP C110 inkjet printer about 6 months ago as I fell for the "cheapest per page inkjet printer on the market" line from Kodak.
However, what I have found is that even printing mainly in black and white, the colour ink cartridge goes down very quickly.
When only one Kodak 30 catridge (b&w or colour) is empty the printer refuses to print or even scan documents to a .peg.
I notice Tesco have an HP on specuial offer for £34'ish and was wondering if I should bin my Kodak as none of the ink refill companies will refill my Kodak 30 catridges.
Any suggestion for another printer or about HP.

It depends a bit on the model, but last time I looked, original HP inkjet carts were ~very~ expensive.
I'd go for a Epson or Canon - do some research before buying so you know you can get fully compatible (chipped) cartridges cheaply from somewhere like 7dayshop.0 -
Epson SX235w is a alright printer. I have one myself.
Has wifi for wireless printing, can get compatibles for £5 a set from ebay etc
or you can get refillables for £20 and fill them up with inks you buy, ans the cost
per refill is about 30p.

Or £35.09 'used - like new' from Amazon warehouse, just click on used on the

There is a refill by post option here at £7 for black and £9 for colour for most HP Printers
Ask if it matters if you send XL cartridges, if not, it would be worth getting a set of XL compatibles to send off when empty

You will be able to search for your printer0 -
I've been really impressed with my Canon MP540, multi function, easy to work out, simple, effective and very reliable so far which must be a couple of years. Had one in my last job too.0

Are you looking to do any printing in colour or just B&W as in documents. If just looking to print mono documents then a mono laser would be the ideal way to go, depending on which one you go for, can get some compatible toner cartridges for about £40-£45, which would do about 1500 printsMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
I will dump the Kodak ESP C110 inkjet printer once the ink runs out and do some research into other printers that have cartridges that can be refilled.

read on twitter that using 'greyscale' setting rather than b/w avoids draining the colour cartridge..?Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
Hi brightonman123
The problem is that there is no Greyscale option only black and white and colour with the Kodak ESP C110.
