I would have thought sisters might have discussed outfits before the big day!

I wouldn't! I don't have a sister but have never discussed what to wear with anyone before going to an event such as a wedding, why would you?

To the OP, no I wouldn't wear white to someone's wedding.

Similar to others, I may be a bit irritated if it was long and flowing, but mostly I don't think it would be a problem.

However, if my own mother was to wear 1 outfit for the church, another for the meal, then reappear in the evening wearing an ivory full length dress from the monsoon bridal collection and ask EVERYONE at the reception if you could see her clear bra straps, then I would be upset.

(And yes, I was a guest at that wedding!!! Awkward is not the word!!!)

I cant believe someone would that!! Y would you do that!!

I personally wouldnt have a problem with a guest in an ivory or white dress as long as it didnt border on bridal.

 i have to agree with that one
  • as others have said, as long as it wasn't bridal in any way I wouldn't be offended.

I think it depends on the accessories too. A white dress with a black top changes the look completely, so that would be fine. If you wore white dress with white shrug etc I think it would look too bridal, and I probably would be annoyed! :)
But white in general is fine.

I'll be Bridezilla - I'd be furious if someone turned up in all-white!
