A friend and I have very similar taste and often turn up in identical outfits. I have forewarned her that if she comes in a wedding dress I might be a bit annoyed. . .Megan

  • I wouldn't myself wear a White dress for a wedding for this reason. I wouldn't want to risk the bride feeling uncomfortable at all

Would I think it was a tad odd? Yes. Would I be actively offended or annoyed? No.

I would have thought sisters might have discussed outfits before the big day!

I'm thinking of wearing a shorter dress for my reception (like the type they have in Monsoon/Coast) so I'd be quite annoyed if someone else wore white!! I hope they don't :) I wouldn't wear white to someone else's wedding but then again I don't often wear light colours in general...

Good point. I do not think I own anything dark coloured whatsoever for a wedding, everything is white, cream, pinks and beige.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

I guess it depends on the type of dress, if it's like a prom style white with a coloured pattern or something on it no I wouldnt, if it was pure white/Ivory floaty type with crystals, it would bug me! And would be alittle annoyed!

However....Ive been to lots of weddings and one guest at one turned up in a bright red very tight open backed dress and a giant black hat hmmm dressed to impress or attempt to steal lime light, in all the photos she stands out so much and another guest wore a tight corset so that her new boobs spilled out over the top and what can only be described as a showgirl type skirt it had ruffles short and the front and then cascaded like a train at the back looked like one of the girls off my big fat gypsey wedding, dont get me wrong lovely outfit but totally inappropiate. But on the opposite ive been to another wedding at a very posh hotel and all the guests looked like they were just popping to the shops! But thats the joys of weddings he he
