lol are you on that £5 Hokey Cokey goody bag ? I went from spending £20 a month with 3 (which I thought was cheap) to £10 every 2 months on PAYG with Giffgaff. It does help that 2 people I call quite a bit are also on Giffgaff so the calls are free, but even so I can't recommend Giffgaff highly enough, they've saved me and my family/friends a fortune

  • Evening all :)

Glad to see everyone is so busy and lots of great MSE ideas here, loving it, thanks everyone :j

    List for the weekend:
Food from stores and menu plan, lunch out today, paid for by FIL (did use my staff discount too which reduced it by a tenner)
Get washing up to date, all dry inside
    Use gym membership
Sell more items on mus1c magpie, DH sold £25 worth already :D
Watch fleabay items, maybe list some more tomorrow night. Lots of stuff going :j
Get ready for busy week ahead
Drop TV combi that we don't need anymore to a friend for her daughter
Investigate Pixies app - its right up my street and I want to know why our leccy bill is higher than our gas  despite switching everything off. Thanks for the tip :T
Hair cut - not overly MSE but was only :o £25, in my defence it was my first cut and trip to hair dressers for two years, so on a daily rate it was a bargain :rotfl:
Vacuum car, if I get time
Get DH to sort out the unlocking my phone to finally swap over to new provider and save loads ;)

Think that's about all, have a great weekend everyone :)

    Hi all

Just a quick post from me as Friday and weekend seem to be running away with me..!

    - had meal for friend from stores with lovely HM soup too. Only spend today was small amount of grocieries, bread from local bakery and a half price movie rental as we had a family movie night tonight. Not Bad at all.
    - 47p from panels....one has to laugh in the face of our grey days..
    - washing on 30 with Aldi powder and on banisters and racks to dry
    - decluttered games and toys with DDs

    Basically a lazy day. Fab!

    Hugs to all

  • Hello!
Not made much headway this weekend as Dad going through quite an unsettled period.

    So far I have:
    All meals from stores
    Small essential top up shop
Gained new dog-walking client (only 2 hours a week but it all counts)
Researched one of the articles I am writing
    Checked banking
    Checked Ebay (no bids)
Resisted stopping at park cafe while walking morning dogs
    Dried washing on airer

For the rest of the weekend I need to:
Help DD cook chillie for BF (all from stores)
    More washing and drying
Complete and submit at least 2 articles
    Surveys and clicks
At the very least take photos of some stuff to Ebay

    Have a good Sunday, everyone!

    Hi everyone

I missed my bus this morning so did a jog/walk combo instead. £5 taxi saved :p

    HM lunch and snacks

    Night in tonight.

I need to decide tonight what to do about that job app too. I spoke to the recruiting manager and she is really interested but now it's come to it I don't know what to do. Turns out the increased salary is cos it's a diff job - recruitment agent had the wrong spec! It's a totally different thing to what I'm doing now so a bit of a gamble, esp cos the company isn't as good to work for benefits-wise, but the are going to pay me more so I kinda think I need too go for it given our current money situ...

    NSD!

    Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

    Hi all

La E..be careful about losing benefits...if you"re ill or if its to do with pensions etc these things can really add up...I had a job a while ago with no pension contribs and now I really miss that 3 years or so..liked the money at the time but in the long term was a bad move. But as ever, its a balancing act isnt it!

DNMS..feel like I am indeed stalking you..sorry hun. Enjoy the walk..just remember to play pooh sticks in that neck of the woods! (or is that Ashdown?! ;-))

    Today we will:

    - aim for a NSD day!!
    - have a leisurely breakfast..no sign of it yet so yes leisurely is the word
    - go to the new free museum
    - back for lunch - probably more HM soup
    - friend staying over is popping elsewhere for tea so have not bought a joint but defrosted the tiniest shoulder of lamb you have ever seen from the freezer...no leftovers I suspect..but then no spend. Will eke out with Yorkies and loads of veg. Bought half price pots yesterday in sm as well as 4x very reduced cheese which is now in the freezer so all good
    - if energy allows, will declutter study..it always makes me feel better...but not sure, that may be a job for next week. Have a cold coming on so feel a bit below normal :-(

Have a great day guys, hope the sun is shining
