Saturday/Sunday 18th/19th February - What small DFW things will you be doing this wee

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:
Morning guys  and happy weekend to you all
a very warm welcome to Memory Box - thanks for starting out with us!
:j to it being Saturday planning to enjoy the weekend as much as possible and do as little chores as possible :T
Things to do today:
Ok that seems a lot given I want a relaxing day but none of it should take long! Have promised to watch Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy with oh tonight
Have fun guys - above all else! x

Thanks for a great thread... fantastic way to focus!!! My plan:
- [STRIKE]Have been honest with friends and explained I cannot go out p[STRIKE]ubbing/cluubing and am trying to get financially straight this year. I need to live within my means as much as I want to go wild. Saving now will mean true freedom in the future!!![/STRIKE][/STRIKE][STRIKE][/STRIKE][STRIKE][/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Read electricity & gas meter so I can reduce my yearly bill - gotta think long term, right?[/STRIKE]
- Am off for the week so am pulling out all my old recipe books and doing some serious meal planning
- Boxing up the rest of my CDs/DVDs to sell and listing the sale with Music Magpie
- [STRIKE]Buying in basics <bread/milk> so am not tempted to shop for coffees/sandwiches[/STRIKE]
- Spend this weekend cleaning my lounge. I have a spiritual space I would like to use more - so need to clear/clean it... sort out books I don't read and totally de-clutter. Out with the old - make space for new prosperity!
- Start to fill out a workbook so I can do some agency work = more income! Been putting it off for ages cos part of me doesn't want to work more than I am... Aim to find some motivation to do maybe just one extra shift a month to start with!
- Go to the gym. Been neglecting it and as am paying a membership I feel I need to make more use of it - or cancel it - one or the other!
And that's me done for the weekend!!!...⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐
Follow your heart & be true to yourself always
My life is full of abundance and prosperity

Saved some money on the gas today as we turned the heating off this afternoon due to us all being out and it was on low this morning. The heating is back on low now and we have put the coal fire on, which puts heat throughout the house.
I think that is everything for today, hope everyone has a good Saturday
Happy with the amount of the tasks that I managed to get done today and I had a very enjoyable hack although I think I will suffer for it tomorrow but that is all part of the fun.Aiming to get Debt Free.0 -
Happy Saturday Everyone!!
Memory Box - saw your post on yesterdays thread - i love the idea of writing note in your memory jar. My DD's came out with so many funny things when they were younger - i'd love to have memories of these things in a jar!
Pixie - what is that App called? The geek in me would love that too! 6 weeks will fly by until Easter hols
Abundant- i need to say no to some nights out too. I have 2 within a week of each other in March. One includes spending a lot on a train/coach. So think i may have to start saying no sometimes.
Spendaholic - that is rubbish about the bingo site. They should have asked before they took your money!
My Day
DECLUTTERING - hoping to do the majority of out bedroom. Need OH to go through his clothes though
Lunch from stores - use up xmas crackers with philly
Dinner from stores - maybe an omlette or a chilli maybe

It's called Meter Readings - I found it in the finance section of the app store. I did pay for it:o Not MSE, but I'm challenging myslef to lower the cost each day so hopefully that'll save us money;)
It took me a while finding the exact costs of my gas/elec per unit etc...confusing with different prices, but once I'd sussed that it's been easy peasy.I really need to sort out a new signature!0
