I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Thank goodness Eeyore has been found! Will call in the search party now.

Have scrubbed the kitchen from top to bottom so having a rest now. DD home from work early as suffering with a cold. Tea was chicken kiev and curly fries for her (comfort food) and oatcakes and cheese for me (couldn't be bothered with anything else).

Finished knitting the pair of slippers I was knitting and just about to finish the hat. Rubbish TV tonight so may watch a film before an early night.

    Take care. XX

Hooray for the appearance of Eyeore. Someone will be very happy tonight. Monnagran I used to read Dogger and Alfie and Annie-Rose to the kids at school. they were always such comforting stories.
Nowadays it's 'Aliens in underpants save the world', very funny.:rotfl:
Well it's stopped raining here and the stars are all out so methinks it will be cold tomorrow. Have a good evening all.

Just about to take a break from uni work, very un OS takeaway is on the way :) but it will feed me at least 2 meals worth, and I used a voucher to get money off! Watching Let's Dance on BBC1, loved it last year.

    evening all,
bit late to be checking in, but thought i would anyway
yesterday was really pleased with myself ..got a busy week work wise and made three chili con carne s for the freezer. they worked out about 3.00 per portion which feeds 4. they are stashed in the freezer along with the lamb hotpot id already done. thats the os side
on the totally not os side... i spent 38 pounds in boots...but was quite proud of that as i bought two hair dyes some night cream and day cream some hair removing cream and lots of little bits. i was amazed with the 38 pound and then i thought that i used to pay 32 pounds to have my hair done so really a bargain.
had a lovely bath and pampered myself totally today. been in my pjs since about 4. really relaxing

    enjoy your evenings xxxx

We've been at the Waterways Museum at Ellesmere port today, damp setting off and went through a huge sleet shower on the way home. Apart from that it has been dry but with a cold wind. The museum was quiet so great for photography with few folk in the shots!
The size of the living cabins on some of the narrow boats puts a whole new meaning to OS
Called into the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlets & spent a bit of cash! But we got some new outdoor gear for when we go for walks in The Lakes, (decided we're going to do at least one a month starting tomorrow with Aira Force at Ullswater).
  • FB - I stick my flowers in the green garden waste bag.

Miffy - Molly seems ok today, I'm still worried about her though as although she's eating ok she's getting scrawnier. I have had her since she was a kitten and moved from over the road where the young lad that owned her changed his mind about having a pet and she has been there for me through everything. Daft, isn't it but from being a single parent to two girls to now my Molly had been a cuddly comfort who made me feel special because she isn't really a people cat but always sat with me.

Well, I did some ironing but didn't bake any bread, DH became masterful and said 'come on, we're going out together for once, in daylight!' :rotfl::rotfl:So we went out collecting brochures for holidays, kitchens and bedroom furniture. well, we can plan and save for them ;)

Ooops, am getting carried away again, that's what comes of not having the lap top regularly - can't stop tying :rotfl:

I hope everyone that needs some comfort can find it.

My boys (now 24 & 28) used to love Alfie & Annie Rose. I bought a set of the books for my DGD (3) for Christmas and she loves them too! :):)

  • Hi everyone
Rather late posting, had a rather busy day with the munchkins on my own and the sheer busyness and exhausting has seemed to clear the black clouds somewhat. I'm lying exhausted in bed just leaving a quick post for today , hope everyone's had a good weekend
