Morning All
Grey, rainy and miserable here this morning, so no chance of putting the washing out on the line
BB I used to soak white shirts in napisan overnight then a hot wash and leave on the line in bright sun to dry. I hope the Eeeyore hunt goes well x
I am another who is having a major cut back this year especially after the £500 that wasn't budgeted for because I broke my glasses
DH's birthday next week, the MOT is due on the car the first week of March and it has to be taxed at the end of March
Then lots of birthdays in April. Good job I bought a load of stuff in the January sales, that should help a bit.
Plans for today is just general housework, DD can do some ironing for me and I might find some time to bake this afternoon, depending on how I feel.
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning all, brilliant drying day here too. First wash in the machine (wasn't organised enough to put it on last night, so that's a habit I think I'll try for in March). Just had call from OH who's in Edinburgh for the day 'just to let you know I took £150 out cash as I need to fill up the car and we're just off for coffee so i need some cash'. !!!!!! (stands for what the flip as I told my overseas students
)? OK so the car takes about £50 (and could be done by bank card). So how much is the coffee for flips sake? After 7 weeks of very good work I think there may be some slipping back into bad habits. More work to be done
For my part, I having a quiet day catching up with housework, trying out home made tomato sauce for pasta, a small shop at Lidl, taking library books back and generally chilling  Right, bath time :j 20*25 for 2025: 489 / 5000 -
Hi everyone beautiful and sunny here in Kent at the moment and I'm tempted to put a wash on.Just de-cluttering two bottom drawers of my bedroom chest of drawers Full to the brim with photo's going back over 50 years .very distracting as I keep stopping to look at them. But they must be done .I also have to nip across to Wilkinsons to get some white spirit to clean a brush as a little alcove wants painting this afternoon.Apart from that I am just 'pottering about' today.Hope everyone has a good week-end and whatever you are doing you are enjoying it 'celebrations ' as well
:):)
Cheers chums

Thanks for that. OH and DS both allergic to bio washing powder so whites get grey with time. I think I'll try this with one item of each of theirs to check for reaction.Butterfly_Brain wrote: »

Good morning all :hello:
Haven't posted for some time, but I do read every day and think of you all.
Now I'm here i can't think of anything to say - not doing much OS atm as energy is low
Trying to keep up with my OU English module, without much success
Oh well, can only do my best. Have got the horrible ESA questionnaire to fill in too - have been on IB til now. This form is more tiring to fill in than the IB one, as it needs a lot more thinking and writing.
Bargainbird - Hope Eeyore has turned up by now. I remember the ructions when DGS mislaid his little Pooh Bear (he used to go to sleep sucking its nose
)
Hester - I'm thinking the green and yellow blanket is probably pale green and pale yellow? Sounds lovely
Bossymoo - big (((HUGS))) to you pet, I can only echo what others have said, take it a little bit at a time and be kind to yourself.
Loulou - So glad you are feeling better :T
Monnagran - you should be kind to yourself too , listen to your body and rest when you need to - like the poor, housework will always be with us
tired mum - Thanks for your pm, will get back to you in near future
Think i'd best go now as am making too many typos, so will just wish everyone a good day -and redruby, enjoy choosing the new loo!
Best wishes

DS once lost his Franklin bear, I think I was more upset than DS  Call me stupid but it felt like we'd lost a member of the family
thankfully boy and bear were reunited after it was found in local supermarket. Sadly now DS and Franklin have gone their separate ways
he doesn't like him because he has black eyes (his latest stress is all things black, apart from black pencils)
Hope Eeyore turns up BB xx
Very tired today. Luna did wonderfully well and slept til 4am before needing a number 2
sadly kids were both up and mucking about last night instead. Ever feel like sometimes it's one or the other....
Ayway not much going on here except for the usual madness. Pizza for tea methinks. Need to pop to Aldi this weekend but think I've left it too late in the day today, I like to get there early.
Hugs and spoons all round. Have a good day OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

 I'm a little annoyed. I bought a WM in Jan from the local 2nd charity shop cos my friend's OH is the manager so wanted to help me out as well as get me cheap WM. But the WM is faulty, so spoke with him 10 days ago to arrange collection, meant to collect today but no-one turned up! Rung shop, turns out he has left there now as of last wknd and didn't pass message on! Why didn't he say he had left, I would have just rung store to arrange pick up. The will pick up next Sat but then I have to go instore to get my refund! Not happy!
And then I came downstairs to do uni work at table instead of in bed, and all 3 of the lightbulbs in lounge blew! It's pouring with rain and dark here so not enough natural light to work by, so had to go to Tesco and buy new ones! :rotfl: Things are conspiring against me!
On the upside I did get a mention on Radio1 by Edith Bowman this morning, after I Tweeted that I was listening whilst do uni work!
Back to it....

Bore da all,
Can't get moving this morning, my Molly cat was worrying me last night, she's 17 and has started wee-ing in the house, something she has never done and last night she seemed to be having problems with her balance on one of her back legs. I don't mean she was balancing on one leg just that she was wobbly and it seemed to be one leg in particular that was bothering her
She looks ok this morning but is now asleep on my (ample-ish) chest so its putting me off getting going because I don't want to upset her. I'm going to try that explanation on DH when he can't find me for the ironing mountain, what do you think - convincing???
Will try and move her gently to the corner of the sofa as last weeks loaf was a success so I have to bake another one aas well as hoovering and ironing - probably in front of a film
Hugs to all, I haven't read the thread for a few days as I've not been about much, out with DH and a very posh meal with work colleages which was delish and not too expensive as we went for the meal of the day option.
May try to pop in later

Hi everyone
Eeyore where are you, theres a little person waiting eagerly for your return, I hope he comes back soon
Hope everyone has a good weekend, you all sound as you are going to be busy, I have had this week off work so I have been catching up on housey things and doing crafty stuff so today Im not doing much as I have to go back into work tomorrow:( I dont usually mind working Sundays (you get used to it and it means I have a day off later in the week which I prefer) but after this week off I dont really want to go back at all:(
Not much OS going on here, raining so no washing, cleaning up to date but will do a quick tidy as I have DGD at the moment so theres always a bit of a mess when shes gone:) shopping all done except for milk which I will get when I take DGD back to her mums and then DD3 and SIL are coming to stay the night as they are going out with friends tonight and live an hour away so Hotel mum accommadates them:rotfl:
Anyway off to do some more reading and make another cuppa
