VistaPrint cards aren't bad if you opt for the Premium ones, free ones aren't worth bothering with since they state "Business Cards are FREE at VistaPrint!" on the back of them........

The business cards I got about 4 years ago did, but last year I got them without any writing on the back.

Normally the "free" ones still come with the writing. They sometimes run offers on the Premium ones though, making them also "free". That's what was running when I ordered mine. Ended up costing me something like £7 for 250 :D
  • Dont go near vistaprint. They have a nice little scam going on. I bought some cards, not bad, paid for a few extras to give them a more pro look.

At some point during whole process (no doubt a tiny tick box i missed) they signed me up for some sort of reward scheme with a sister company and have raided my bank account for the last 2 months. Barclays seem helpless to stop them at present even though the card involved has been cancelled. It really beginning to get on my hooters.

It isnt much but is the principle that they conned me into something i dont want or need and i am not the type of person to miss such scams so it must have been pretty wel hidden. and barlcays knew the score as soon as i mentioned the name, they see they see a lot of people falling for it.

Different topic but there is a way to stop companies extracting from your credit card. If no joy getting it cancelled let me know & I'll discuss the method.

A large (3/4 screen) pop up appears on checkout............. you click no thanks........ job done.

What if popup blocker was enabled?
  • It is entirely possible that I didnt even look at the pop up, closed it without looking at it or it was blocked, popups are spam in every case unless i click a link to a new window, if it pops it gets closed.

The fact that the site may have informed me still doesnt alter the fact that it is fraud.

They have passed my card information to a different company without my "express permission". To have a default opt in on a total unrelated service is dispictable. In fact default opt in's are illegal in this country and have been for some time, but Vista are based in the Netherlands!

I reiterate I dont get caught out easily and this little scam has annoyed the hell out of me, more for the fact of time wasted and the fact that my bank seem wholly powerless to stop them, they could in theory completely clear my account. £20 i can live without, having some unreputable company holding my card details frequently plundering my bank account, I cant!
