Amazing house valuation service

Hi there

Not sure if this is of use to anyone but .... I know a website which I'm using at the moment to sell my house as they're cheap but superb service.

The best things is - you can value your house with them for free - it works pretty accurate as far as I was able to test it...

Their service is free, you only have to register...

Let me know what you think!

Best regards
Karolina

How did you find this Karolina??
Thanks to all who post comps :A :T
  • That's great - it had my actual house on the bit where it shows what properties have been used in the calculation - according to that it has gone up in value by about £30k in a couple of years!

Useless for where I live.. I had to include a 4 bed house, and inititally it wouldnt let me include the 2 bedrooms I would like to compare against (mine is a 3 bed).

You are probably better getting the prices from somewhere like nethouseprice.com and work it out yourself, as you know the houses involved better than the computer.

I don't think the valuation is much use at all.

it lists a property round the corner from me as sold for just under £60k in April 2000 and says it's now worth just under £130k

It then lists a sale in March 02 at £73k, now being worth just under £132k.

But they're both the same property.

It actually shows 15 different properties which are all broadly similar in design and construction, all bult as 3 bed semis, some have been extended, but the values vary from £130k to £175k.

I've not checked yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if the extensions have little bearing on the "valuation" that's being quoted.
  • @rach29 - yeah, I saw that too, but the guys are in England, for sure. and no, this is not Spam .... I'm looking to sell my house at the moment, need to get a "good valuation" - not something from my estate agent who has never been on my road, and something that doesn't cost me the price of a family car, to sell my house which I can do myself :-) My friend heard about them on a radio show.

@rizla01 - no worries :-) good to share interesting finds! it was recommended by a friend to me as well.

@bunglegirl - good for you, sounds like a good investment :-)

@real1314 - well, it worked for me. maybe they're still working on the algorithm. I did a few properties and all looked right to me.

    Best regards

    Karolina,

I would STRONGLY advise you to get 2-3 local estate agent around to valuate your house, this is not something you can do on the internet. They are free anyway, so you wont loose anything.

You couldnt be more wrong with that statement.

That website was a pile of pants.
It was not even close to an accurate figure.

It valued mine at exactly what my neighbour sold hers for last month - and she has an almost identical place to ours....
