Under what grounds are you asking for the default to be removed?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Why did you default. A please letter may work but you need a very very valid reason.
I've had one removed but that was due a family death overseas and I had to provide dates, flight information etc
Ps you will only have one default only one person can own the debt0 -
Remove a default, unless the company who pt the default there made an error you have absolutely no chance of having it removed.
Asking pretty please won't cut it I'm afraid.
It is a true record of your credit history, so dont hold your breath.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
You have more chance of either removing the default, if t mobile was a good networkDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I understand that its a very looooooong shot but i am willing to take it. After all i have nothing to lose!
I am asking for it to be removed because of the default i can just barely get credit with capital one... and its a secured card. More importantly because i need to get a mortgage so our family can move into a better area with better schools that my kids can attend. I know i can drop them off to school but it takes me 30-40 mins to get to work everyday and i cant possibly drop my kids off to school that early AND my wife doesnt drive so she cant help and the kids are 5 and 8 so i wouldnt let them take a bus.
So i am using more of a sympathy tactic to try and get the default removed but i want to know who i can write to? Capquest or t-mobile?
ps your right, t-mobile is the worst network operator in my opinion!0 -
Let me know how you get on with this!
I need to get a career development loan in Aug 2013 for my Law course - but I will have 4 satisfied defaults on my credit file (from 2010). So I'm going to try and get them removed - even 1 would help!SAVINGS: £63.86 // £3,0000 -
Back to the original question, you may be able to get a default removed if you plead. In thorny cap quest own the debt if you are going to do it you need to prove how good have been at paying it off when you were made aware.
When asked for mine I used the below website but please note there is no guarantee.

I had to prove a lot to mine to get mine removed but I wish you the best?
Alternatively add a notice of correction to your file0 -

Hi, Sorry i dont quite understand what you mean by "In thorny cap quest own the debt if you are going to do it you need to prove how good have been at paying it off when you were made aware."
And thanks for the website, it looks really helpful!
can you please explain what you mean by - made aware of? [What?] and shall i write the letter to capquest then?
Cheers0 -
Capquest now own the debt and have added the default - you would need to write to them.
I'm still unclear as to what grounds you have to get the default removed ????
If you didn't stick to the terms of the agreement, which resulted in the default - then it's a true reflection of your credit history so why should it be removed?

You will be wasting your time with the info on that website.
1) It is out of date.
2) It doesn't apply to mobile phone accounts as they are not governed by the same legislation.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
