Batteries for the Gwiz are about £800 to replace new, because they use the same as forklift trucks which are common, if you look after them they last about 10yrs. £80 per yr for batteries is not too bad.Big deflation your debts are going up against everything else. I would not like to be a property owner with a big mortgage right now, pay off your debts ASAP!0 -

These cars cost £1000s more than a standard car and save £100s a year. The sums dont add up unless you do a ridiculous amount of miles.
I recently have just moved from diesel to petrol. The equivalent diesel car was £2500 more than I paid, which would have saved me £500 a year. Not worth it.0 -

In London it does make a lot of sense to drive an Ecar. You have no congestion charge and you can park in meter spaces for free
As fuel keeps going up interest in Ecars will go up too.

I don't understand where you plug those cars in. I bet most places don't have public spots, I bet it's difficult to find a spot you can park at - and most people don't have land/parking at home and the ability to have one wired in.
I've never seen an electric car/point. Ever.0 -
... I just found a map of points... nearest charging place to me is 100 miles. How handy is that? Oh - and somebody's using it right now.0

A quick question do these cars have heaters and heated windscreens if so how does using them and lights effect the amount of miles a car can do on a full charge.0

Once everyone does this the scheme will be scrapped. Mark my words.0 -
