Oh dear........I have tried also to claim after running my fone over in my car! fonesure state that they believe the amount of damage caused does not correspond with the accident details an therefore wont pay out after ive paid them for 2 years. I contacted fonesure and was told that i could submit a new claim for an extra £40 and claim again "with a different story" by a supervisor called Jasmine! when i asked if this was fraud she wouldnt speak further so I contacted Simon Harvey the manager via email and told him........still they wont pay out! HELP!!0

still waiting for a reply from the financial ombudsman about fonesure, still like TS case, it was stolen, but fonesure insist it has to be forcibly taken otherwise it's not covered on their T&C's, which I object as to me, forcibly taken is not theft, but robbery. . . let's see how will it go. . .
After a long 2 years waiting, Financial Ombudsman upheld my claim and instructed Fonesure (Aegis Insurance I thin) to compensate me as my claim is valid.
I am delighted with the result and my next update will be if Fonesure will indeed abide by the Ombudsman's decision, they were given 4 weeks to settle my claim.
Cheers to all . . . .0 -
ok, just an update, The insurance company indeed honor the decision of the ombudsman and had sent a cheque for my claim, I just don't know though how they came up with the amount, anyhow, am happy with it and finally my case has been settled.
Good luck to those who have similar issues and may you have a fruitful result too.0
