    Morning!

I am already shattered! My 7 yr old was up almost all night with sickness and diarrhea, bless his heart!
As a result, i am going to have to put some more money in electricity meter, as i have been washing bedding and towels all night. Whilst i am there, i am going to get some gas.

These is FROST on the ground this morning! I think the cold weather is well and truely into Cornwall now!

    What i will do today:
    [STRIKE]
    Get gas and electric
    Check OLB
    Avoid SMs
    Get all the washing/drying finished
    Clean the bathroom
    Hopefully get a snooze!
    [/STRIKE]

Done everything i need to do :) Still have mountains of washing from last night to get through, but everything ese is done!

    Thanks Florenceem :)

Everytime i walk into a SM now i start to mutter obsenities under my breath..along the lines of 'Bl00dy Mr T, trying to get me to spend my money, they are horrible little b00gers. Well if they think they are having my money, they have another thing coming' LOL. Honestly, how things have changed! :rotfl:

The little one has just eaten some dry cereal, so am hoping that he'll be able able to keep it down. He certainly seems more chirpy!

Having a crusty bread rolls with ham for dinner- yummy!

Am definitely going to have to break into that emergency £5 this morning as i am desperate for milk, and there is not a chance in hell that i will do without my cups of tea!
Seems a shame though, as its 'payday' tomorrow (CTC a day early due to easter) and i really wanted to make it last!

I also get my CB tomorrow. Its normally a Monday i get it, but with it being easter Monday and Good Friday, i will get it tomorrow instead.
So, £100 of that will go into my xmas/car/birthdays fund (ISA) and £34 will go into my emergency fund.
Feels good to know that i am making steps towards a more secure financial future!

Well done - it's not just about getting through today and tomorrow, it's about finding a way of life that is sustainable, and you are well on the road to doing this, so you should feel very proud of yourself.

    Morning!

Am just about to check my OLB. Its nice that i know what to expect when i look at it now. I used to be too scared too open letters from the bank, or to sign in to my OLB.

Dont get me wrong, i still feel its a struggle, especially now that i am saving my CB for xmas etc, but i know it'll be worth it when i am not desperate to find cash for xmas.

PG- thanks for your words of encouragement, it really means a lot to know i have people supporting me.x.

    To do today:
    Avoid SMs
    Have a NSD
    More washing
    Check OLB]
    Clean the kitchen
Price up new beds for the kids.

    Hi Cleggie

Just been reading up on what you've been up to. What a shame the little one's been unwell, I hope he's feeling better today.

You look like you're starting to crack the sm, I love your little under the breath rant about taking your money. That's precisely what they do, encouraging us to spend money just to line their pockets.

I'd have liked to help with the spreadsheets, but they're really not my thing. I have one that works, but it took me a long time to get it that way and to be honest, I'm not sure I could do it again as I'm not sure how I did it in the first place!

Take care Cleggie, be good to yourself.

    Hi Piq.

He seems to be better this morning, thanks.

If i manage not to spend any money today (apart from the £2 i have put aside for whoopsied baguettes from Mr T later) than my 1st week of April will be under budget :)

And because i left it so late into the month to do shopping, i dont think i'll need much at all next week as i already have the meal plan sorted, so will just need eggs, milk and a few other bits and bobs.
Especially if the kids go over to their dads house for a few days.

Just about to cook our whole chicken. Was going to do a roast, but since little one isnt well, i am just going to divide it up into portions and refreeze. That should do tonights meal (chicken, rice and salad) my chicken curry, chicken chow mein for the week ahead, plus other meals :)

Am really getting into this MSE malarky, and actually starting to enjoy it now.

Have defrosted some bread rolls to have for lunch with tuna and mayo in :)

Need to write a list of things i need to stock up on, so that i can do a big shop on 23rd:

    meat and fish
    tinned tomatoes
    Baked beans
    Spag hoops
    Frozen veg
    Garlic bread
    Stock cubes
    Big pag of pasta
    Big bag of rice
    Frozen chopped garlic and ginger
    Cat food
    Squash- orange, apple
    Washing up liquid
    Fabric conditioner
    Toilet rolls

I dont want to spend any more than £100 on this big shop, and will be doing it at @sd@ as they are the only people who deliver here! It wil have to keep us going for at least 3 months. By doing this big shop, i am hoping that i will significantly reduce my weekly shops. We'll see, its just experimenting to find out what works best for me at the moment.
