Neg feedback help please?????

I bought an item and payed for it but i got a card from the sorting office who had the item saying i had to pay 37p for postage that the seller didn't pay and also an extra £1 for admin fee. I asked seller for the £1.37p as a refund and she has left me neg feedback  the feedback said

Recieved payment but are wanting money for postage when i have payed P+P allredy

Reply by me said: I have proof you never paid, leaving me neg feedback is very unfair????????

I havn't left her feedback yet because i hate giving bad feedback but now i feel i should but how do i word it? I have proof she didn't pay, there was no postage on the package and the sorting office gave me a receipt.

Now i have a neg feedback and i was doing so well with all my feedbacks :o

leave a negative and move on. its virtually impossible to maintain 100% feedback these days on ebay. people see past the odd neg and look at the majority of your feedback.

i have 2 negs, both purchased and didnt pay but I get the neg! joke isnt it?

    i'd write something like.

"Item collected from post office after paying for postage. Feedback unfair. Have receipt to prove it." or something like that
  • yeah leave her a neg, you got nothing to lose now. What is her feedback, maybe she will do a withdrawal. send her a copy of the receipt as well if you got a camera or scanner.

ive been told that if you really swear (make sure its really strong) in your neg feedback to her and she complains, then ebay remove BOTH feedbacks!
check this out if/before you attempt it though.
(you may get a warning, but i dont think ebay will ban you outright)

i dont any other way of removing neg feedback. ebay states FB cannot be removed once posted.
    Get some gorm.

but if it's not removed, this kind of feedback would tend to make the OP look guilty. I tend to stay away from sellers who leave feedback which suggests they have an attitude problem.

This is a long standing myth.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j
  • postage sticker/stamps may have fallen off, it depends whether the post office worker sticks them dowm properly. This has happened to me before, but I had proof of postage so I could refund buyer and claim my postage back from PO

you maybe correct. ive looked and cannot find a reference. although the policy may have changed within the last yr/few yrs.
there is the mutual feedback removal policy though.
    that maybe a solution?

It is not true nor ever has been that both feedbacks will be removed, it's one of those things that everyone thinks is true but is actually a myth.

Only the offending feedback will be removed, so all that will happen is that the feedback left for the 'victim' will remain but the retaliatory one will be removed due to profanity, which leaves the 'victim' in the worse possible situation.

  • I think she was way out of order leaving you a negative.

I had the same problem last week. A buyer emailed me to say she'd had to pay about £2.39 because there was no stamps on it.

I watch all my items being labelled at the post office so knew it had come off during transit. I apologised profusely, asked nicely for a photo of the receipt/unstamped parcel, refunded her money and took the photographic evidence into my post office and received an apologetic refund.

The moral is, you won't buy from her anymore. My buyer left me positive feedback and has since purchased again.

I agree with the other posters that postage stamps/stickers can and do fall off. How do you think they get over the counter and into the delivery sacks if postage isn't paid at all? so saying that your seller never paid for postage is a bit unfair.
We had this happen to us and we just refunded the buyers the extra they had to pay. We learnt the hard way and have changed from putting normal stamps on parcels and now use the stickers printed by the machines.
