What speed do you get with Virgin and what speed would you get with Sky? Any other ADSL supplier's equipment will also be based in the same exchange and will be about the same speed as Sky. Only BT Infinity or another FTTC supplier may be faster than Virgin.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

If you're on Virgin Cable for the phone,tv & broadband then you CANNOT go with any other broadband supplier unless you get a BT phone line installed.Due to the way VM phones work,it's impossible to have any broadband (BT/Sky.O2 Etc) on them, nor can you have any internet service like BT Infinity.
The speed you would get on Sky depends on the distance from the exchange as the cable is routed,to the master socket in your home,as well as the condition of the phoneline. If you're getting 30MB on VM you will get nowhere near that on Sky,the average speed is around 6 to 8MB.0 -
i currently get upto 20 meg but i think its running more around 10 but everytime i connect more than one thing to my wireless it kicks me off! :$
i havent got a phone line for bt in as of yet but a full package with sky works out cheaper than what im paying now i just dont want to swap in case the speed falls.

If you are unhappy with VM's cable internet, you'll be a basket case with Sky, or indeed any other ADSL provider. Your 20Mb service is to double, and the cost to remain nominally the same. Sky cannot match this, as they use BT and have nothing like the bandwidth VM cable has.0
