Egg help

Hi,
I sent off a SAR to EGG last week for details of 2old accounts which were closed in 2007/08. Had a reply today saying-

As the account you refer to is now closed I have to inform you that EGG are under no obligation to comply with a copy of the executed agreement under the Consumer Credit Act as we no longer have a contractual relationship relating to this account. The right to be provided with this info from Egg Banking plc ended with the closure of the account.

Any advice please as what to do next

Thanks

Just to add on to previous post, they have actually sent me the account numbers now so what would my next step be?

    Thanks again
  • It sounds like you have asked for the account terms and conditions. If you make a Data Subject Access Request they have to provide a dump of everything they have on you that they can find using the information provided. They can charge up to £10 for it.

I sent the same letter to Black Horse and had all the info they have on certain accounts so sure I sent them the right letter.

As they have sent me the account numbers can I now just go ahead starting my claim or do I need other info from the SAR, as I know we had PPI on both accounts.

    Hi,
I also sent a sar to egg (derby address) last month and I have had the same reply. When i checked my bank accpunt i realised the cheeky so and so's had cashed the £10 cheque. I wrote a very stern letter including copies of everything to the below address, stating that I was not happy with the response, that they had not complied with the sar and if I did not get a satisfactory response I would report them to the information commission. I only sent it this week so we will see what happens.

What really annoys me is that they obviously have data as they have found my account number (i found it after I had sent the sar so just gave them name address etc)
