Google misbehaving!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what the heck is going on but its very annoying. In the last 2 weeks or so, often when I put in an address into Google, I get a link to a !!!!!! site! :eek: its not the same site everytime either. I have run Spybot, and Adaware nothing untoward was found. Can anyone someone PLEASE help me sort this out.

Sounds like you have been infected with a virus or spyware.
Download and run AVG and Adaware (both from download.com) to clean your pc

Sounds as if you're using Internet Explorer. Simple fix for all these malware problems is to download and use "Firefox" instead.

Thank you for the replies, I have done a virus scan and use one constantly, I also went online and did the Micro Trend one. Nothing was found
Total mystery. Apart from downlading Firefox, what else can I try?

The domain has never been registered.

I suppose it's possible that your ISP redirects requests for non-existent domains to somewhere else.

it does seem as though it has hijacked your proper dns server settings. do you have the original settings to hand (provided by your isp)? open up network connections and see if they have changed

My daddy had a virus once where no programmes would run except Internet Explorer, and wherever he went on the internet he was directed to !!!!!! sites. I found it hilarious, but in the end could only fix it by reinstalling windows.

So at least your problem isn't that bad.
