Hi all
I currently have my L package broadband with Virgin. I am trying to save some money and wondered if I can get it cheaper elsewhere ... either on it's own or if its better in a package.
Tesco are doing a bb unlimited and phone evening and weekends calls for £17.50 a month but I dont have a landline and dont really want to pay for a landline I wont use.
I am getting really confused and hope you can point me in the right direction :T

If youve been with them a year youll be able to get it down through retentions. I pay £17 for this and wouldnt be suprised if many pay a lot less as I took the first deal they offered.0

Switching from a VM cable service will require you to have a BT-based landline installed or reconnected-no other providers can't use the cable network, they all require a BT line for ADSL broadband. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Been in the same situation as you for a while. The best thing IMO is to avoid getting involved with any new contracts or any new companies. If you don't need a landline, don't get one as you'll invariably start using it and then you'll not know what your bills are gonna be month to month. You can trim some money off by phoning VM and asking to be disconnected.....just keep telling them you can't afford it.....they will try to offer you new deals all of which you should refuse....at the end they will likely offer you a bill credit (usually £30) which you should accept.....DO NOT take any offer that involves a change in your monthly price as this is a trick to sign you to a new contract. Instant bill credit only (just bide your time and they will offer it).''apply within''0
