I applied for the iphone 4s offer yesterday, but then mobiles.co.uk emailed me asking them to ring them, and they told me they couldn't process my purchase until I sent them copies of my bank statements - so I cancelled the purchase. I'm so disappointed I really wanted to get this deal - I have no debts and have been with the same bank for nearly 30yrs - what did I do wrong?

Best guess is there is a type somewhere in your application or whatever database as used to check against and a computer has flagged it up as a problem.

You think that this is good, but in fact this means very little or no credit history and can make it difficult for you to get any credit, including a mobile contact.

what did I do wrong?

Cancelled the purchase instead of just sending a copy?

I think you must be right grumbler - but I have a credit card and have had payment plans before - I cancelled the purchase as I just didn't want to share my bank statements details with an online company. Am not that confident!

I ordered this deal last night aswell, after seeing it on here. Only turned 18 beginning of this year and got an email this afternoon saying its been dispatched.
Really surprised I got accepted
