Sun holiday - Haven. Payment due date

Options
Hi :)

I'm after a little bit of help regarding my Haven payment due date, if possible.

I have read the terms and conditions on the back of my booking and note "please note all holidays not paid in full by due dates are at risk of being cancelled."

I cannot for the life of me find any information on the letter about when the due date is. Our holiday is May 11th.

Am I dumb here :D or is it not printed on the confirmation? I have emailed Haven to ask but it's really bugging me as it's bound to be so obvious!

Thanks in advance :)

They may not give an actual date, is there any where it says 'payment is due six weeks before the holiday booking' sometimes if you dont see a number you can miss it.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

    Thanks McNeff,

I just called Haven. The balance is due by 2nd March. There is absolutely nothing on the letter that suggests this, no amount of weeks to give me a clue and to be honest 2nd of March is not too far away.

I'm actually pretty annoyed. That's just 2 weeks away and had I not got a 'bee in my bonnet' about it that date would have come and go!

Check when your payments are due Sun Holiday bookers

Well its good that you know anyway, wonder how many others will miss the date.

What did they say when you told them there was no date on the letter.

Hope you have a lovely time.

I had this exact problem suddenly out of the blue received a not too pleasant letter saying if they hadn't heard from me in 48 hours they would cancel my holiday, went back over all the paperwork and could find nothing at all about a due date so rang them straight away and was told payment needed to be made 10 weeks before the holiday. Luckily the money was there and I could pay them straight away but I was really not impressed cos if I'd known there was a due date I would have made sure it was paid luckily for them then lady on the phone was really nice and completely understood but if I hadn't got the money available I would have been left out of pocket and with no holiday so I was seriously unimpressed
 Thank you so much to all who post xx

I didn't say there was no date McKneff, I just said could they tell me my payment due date and quick as a flash she told me. It's obviously there on my account. There's only one reason I can think of as to why it's not on my letter (other than a genuine mistake and a one off) and that's a bit of foul play on their behalf. Maybe they 'want' me to lose my deposit, legally and due to my 'oversight'. Maybe not. I am getting cynical in my older years.

I'm vexed to say the least.

Anyway, I know so I'm ok and can enjoy my weekend away with my family (thank you McNeff :) Has anyone fallen foul of this Haven 'oversight'?

 I suppose at least they did write to warn you but no, not very good at all! It didn't even say on my paperwork that I received today that I only had 10 weeks, I wonder if it is on The Sun T&C's?

You said there was no 'due date' on the letter, thats what I was on about.

Bit lax on their part though. I'm a bit cynical too in my old age.

  • My Haven holiday with the Sun is May 26th, and i've not had a letter from the park yet. I'm guessing that i should have by now? So i'm guessing i'd need to be paid in full next month! Eeek!

I received a balance due letter on 23 January for a holiday in April, assumed I had a little time to pay, but on 1 February received a letter stating I had failed to make a payment and had 48 hours to contact them or they would be cancelling my holiday. I was not impressed!!

However, I telephoned them and explained I wouldn't be able to pay for another week, but still wanted to take the holiday and they said that was fine and not to worry about it. The letters are awful though, leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
