how much does it cost to have this done?
AFAIK there's no additional charge. You do have to allow extra time because obviously it takes longer to sort it all out into blister packs than to grab a few boxes off the shelf - I realise there's a teensy bit more to dispensing than that, but dispensing into blister packs must be more difficult and time consuming!

  • thank you, i will speak to the chemist about it.
  • My mum doesn't pay any extra for this. She doesn't even need to contact her GP for repeat prescriptons, as Lloyds do this for her. I think the chemist ring a few days before to confirm that she will be at home when they deliver, and at the same time she can request that they bring out small items for her to buy. If she needs anything to buy, they tell her how much it is and she gives the cash to the driver, who delivers small items along with the blister packs. (Small items - things like cough mixture, kaolin and morphine, paracetomol).
