New Plaster HELP

Well I used Homebase paint for new plaster, it was less than £10 for 10 litres and as it claims to be good for new plaster, I reckon if it is rubbish I can sue them for misrepresentation. That was a year ago, my plastered walls look great.0

I didn't say it was rubbish. I suggested that its a triumph of marketing hype over practicality which it is considering as how you can achieve exectly the same with cheap emulson and a bit of water.

Having tried the emulsion and water option, I'd say paint for new plaster is better. English Heritage didn't tell me to do that on horsehair plaster, I was told to use a breatheable basecoat and breatheable emulsion on top. I checked that I could use paint for new plaster and was told yes. That's good enough for me.0
