Vent - M&S screw Scotland!

Well I guess one would be better trying Tesco for the wine, on the other hand I'd rather pay over the odds for the odd bottle of wine than have to pay the tuition prices they have south of the border.
Give it a year and the'll consider bringing out the same law in England, much like the rest of the penalties we've faced first i.e Council Tax, smoking ban.....0 -
Tesco down here usually do something like 5% off 6 bottles. I guess Scotland doesn't get that offer either?0

Yes, it's a breach of human right and you're entitled to £10,000 in compensation.0

hardly screwing Scotland, last time i was in M&S they didn't sell Buckfast! (oh c'mon, i'm surprised no one said it before me!) But yes, it's down to the alcohol pricing laws which if i'm not mistaken pretty much ban promotions on alcohol, so not an M&S issue but a Scottish Parliament issue.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

We used to get that offer the same as 3 bottles for £10 - but now we just get a special of bottles at £3.33 each, tends to be that most people just buy 3 bottles at a time. That's how most shops got round the multi-buy problem0

The shock of hearing about poor Scots drinkers only being entitled to such pitifully small compensation is a breach of my human rights and I demand compensation. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
