Do Not Book Through

Dear All,
I would like to recommend that you DO NOT BOOK through a company called Complete Travel Solutions based in Orchard House, Swansea 08700 27 8882 as they are what I think a shoddy setup.
They charged me what they call a recharge fee set by First Choice for altering the book name for my holiday. However, when I arrived at the airport to collect my tickets the name had not been changed and First Choice just changed it on the spot without any charge. I was told by the customer services desk and check in staff on the day that I wouldn't have been charged for this anyway!
I tried to get a refund from the company but they keep telling me that they were charged it by First Choice which when I called about my holiday denied it. I've never had any proof from Complete Travel that they were charged it and kept fobbing me off!
£20 just to do nothing.
Waste of time!

The charge is fair as long as they ACTUALLY DO IT.
Pursue it - they can't really keep the money.0 -
I have pursued it but they returned 2 letters in all. The latest being 3 months after the holiday and said that they have been charged - so passed on the cost to me. I've mentioned an infringement on the Sale of Goods Act but they've ignored it.
They've not provided any proof that they have been charged. But very quickly took my money straight away for doing NOTHING!!!!
Complete Travel claim that they are registered with ATOL etc and so would expect a lot more than this cowboy setup!
AVOID completetravel.co.uk!!!0 -
hI,
Write to First Choice, quoting Holiday reference number, dates etc., asking them to confirm that they did make a charge and more importantly it was paid by CTS. Agree, it is at the least bad manners to fob anyone off with drivel. Good Luck - sally0 -

Just seen the 0870- number - another thing to avoid. Don't forget to use https://www.saynoto0870.com if you need to call them again.0 -
I've already wrote to First Choice and they have written back to me saying that I have not been charged! So it's obvious who is at fault because they have taken it from my account.....Complete Travel you rednecks!0

Hi,
Go down to the TA with the letter from First Choice. Try to go in when they are really busy. Stay calm and polite, but speak in a very loud voice, certainly loud enough so all potential customers will hear that they are thieves. Don't take no for an answer and stay in there as long as it takes to get your £20. Its not the money but the principal. Good Luck and don't back down. Regards - sally0 -
Did they charge the £20 to a credit card? If so you can dispute the payment with them - with the letter you have received from first choice as supporting documentation you should get your money back.0

This was one of the few occassions that I paid by debit card otherwise I'd be charged the 2% handling fee.
I contacted First Choice and really the problem isn't with them because they've not taken my money directly. However, I've tried speaking to them with my reference number but that is all they could tell me - that the charge was not applied and to contact Complete Travel.
STUMPED!?!?!? And it's not enough to really warrant a mission over. I already wrote numerous emails and letters....0 -
After writing numerous letters, calls and emails. They still blame First Choice for levying the admin fee.
What annoys me most is that when I arrived and picked up tickets which I was told would not let me board the plane (100% gaurantee by Complete Travel) I ended up boarding on. The ticket had my middle initial and passport had my full name (include middle name). I've kept proof of my unchanged named tickets as proof.
Complete Travel's last letter I received was much to my disgust. It said that First Choice did not have time to issue the new tickets because it was changed a few days before. SO WHY WAS I ALLOWED TO BOARD WITH THE TICKETS!!!
Never pay anything to this cowboy setup. I think it's a small jobby anyway because when arranging the holiday calls were made till about 10.20pm.
Even when I told Complete Travel I'd be voicing my disgust on here they simply didn't reply to me. Shame really, passing the blame onto someone else when they won't argue on your behalf - just solely commission motivated - how sad.0 -
Hi,
After writing, emailing, telephoning, so many times, you tend to say forget it, its just not worth it. But £20 is £20 and as I've said before, its the principal. I would still have to make a visit just to get it off my chest. Thieves just don't have morals! Regards - sally0
