  • You don't do that. Merely click on the icon in the system tray, select your wireless network and enter the security key.

Presumably the OP is trying to transfer the wireless settings, perhaps because they don't know the security key.

you can usually get this info from the wireless security page of the router's admin pages
How do I add a signature?

Assuming the problem is that the laptop connects to your wireless network and the XP PC doesn't (can you confirm this is the problem?) then I think the first thing to check is that the XP PC actually has a wireless network card fitted to it. If it doesn't, that's the problem.

However, it would help if you stated exactly what the problem or difficulty is, rather than asking how to achieve what you see as the solution....

I have the key but it does not work on PC. I want the PC to work again and do updates but cannot until I get connect to internet. On control panel of PC it say wireless on a
memory stick is recommended. I hope that is all to it and want to know how I can do this.

    Thanks

A wireless connection is not compulsory!

Why don't you connect via an Ethernet cable until you have downloaded and installed the necessary updates on the XP machine?

I knew I would have problems with this, I cannot get connect even with Ethernet cable which I have connect it to modem. I have downloaded manual for XPS 210, but that did not help me either

Are you trying to install the drivers? If you don't have the drivers for ethernet or wireless then you should be able to get them from the manufacturers website on your windows 7 machine and then copy them across.
