    Nice post Chuck ...... I, too, do volunteer work - in fact I am part of the biggest volunteer group in the country.

    Interesting, that's DH's background (nuclear & rocket science). Out of interest, where did you study?

    In answer to your question, I've had to take a cut in one of my jobs, don't know that I'd go over 10% though for anyone - at least not without looking around.

    I took a 60% reduction in wages for 9 months. It was great having the extra time off tho :)

    Could be but have opted to do 4 days/week as I got to rather like not working (and DW is doing a course so I do baby sitting on the 5th day and then homework with the DDs after school.

    However most of the work is govt which means there is no visibility after the end of the FY.
