Wilko have virtually the same but double the amount for less money. Its also free delivery if you get it delivered to store. I have just ordered a pack of these for home.

This thread has just been brought to our attention by people on Twitter. !We are very sorry so many people are upset, as in the end we gave away 1,600 packs not just the original 1,000.

We had 7,000 people hit the site in the first 10 seconds & all packs were gone in 2 mins. There were always going to be people who were disappointed, but this was an absolutely genuine offer to try and help people save some money. !

MSE can verify exactly how many people clicked through to our site and how quickly. See the response from Becca from MSE in a forum post called "Free and Cheap Insulation Official Discussion" on page 8 (as new users we can't link to it, maybe an experience MoneySaver can help?)

As for posting the link on our twitter, it was only because we gained a lot of new followers on Twitter and Facebook from the MSE email and we were just pointing people the page on the MSE site where the offer was available as we were inundated with questions as to where the link was. !We only have 139 followers on twitter and 133 fans on facebook (before the email we only had 60 of each) so I can assure you that it was MSE customers and not our existing followers who got to take advantage of nearly all of the freebies.

We are still offering a 20% discount to all MSE visitors and will speak to MoneySavingExpert about trying to run an even better offer for all you MoneySavers at the beginning of next winter.

We are truly very sorry for any disappointment caused, we are very small company and Customer Service really is our top priority. We will take all feedback onboard and learn from it.

Seems like you were all keen to get the freebie, so not sure why you are all saying what a scam this was...if you'd been a lucky one would you be complaining?
