Dumped by CCCS now don't know where to turn?

Signed up with CCCS at the start of Janaury as things where getting tight, little did I know they where about to get a lot tighter. A week later I was made redundant, They revised everything and it was cut to £150 pm from £210, I was prepared enough for this, Tax credits changed etc it was put down to £100 pm, Tight but do able. I went to send in the things for housing benefit to discover they had taken the wrong amount down, They had down £110 pw, it was actually £90 and what ever way they worked it out I now only have £14 left per month, they basically said nothing we can do, you don't even have enough to make the minimum £1 pm, and that was that.
So feel really hopeless now and don't know what to do or where to turn to. HELP:(

If you post a SOA people might be able to advise how to reduce your outgoings to help your situation. You could write to your creditors and tell them about the redundancy and make £1/month payments until you get back on your feet.

First I see food, Cut it down to £100 pw.
Mobile phones, I have a contract at £30 pw, partners is £10, I am just going to have to void the contract and add it on to this. This should get income up a bit, any other ideas?0 -

The kids usually do take packed lunch, they have dinner maybe a couple of times a month nothing major. But could lower it.0 -
I would look into getting free meals for the children if you could, I know its only a small amount but could help towards a payment. Do you subscribe to newspapers/mags? If not could you get a discount by doing so/or get rid of them all together?
I got a copy of 'the money diet' from amazon loads of good tips for cutting down costs, would recommend it. Hope everything comes together for you. Have you considered contacting PayPlan and seeing if they could help where CCCS couldn't?

Sorry if my suggestions look harsh, but I've been there and the first things that have to go are the things that make life worth living. Ditch the fags, mags, sky, hobbies and haircuts, hit the charity shops for clothes or revamp/make do with what you've got. It could save you a couple of hundred a month, and you might just discover you didn't need it all in the first place.
You only have to deprive yourself for a limited time, once you're solvent again it's up to you what you spend your money on, but till then ......Oh dear, here we go again.0 -
That food bill could go way down. We are 2 adults, a 7yo and 3yo. I've cut down to 60-70pw, but i could go further if i needed to.
As someone said, offer token payments for at least this month to give you some breathing space.
