  • Thanks for the responses so quickly!!
I've logged into the moneyclaim site "www .moneyclaim .gov.uk" and the claim does appear real. the Northampton county court seal looks printed on the paperwork and not stamped though?

I will get this on pepipoo asap, I'm definitely going to respond to the claim if its official, I don't want them to win by default! If a claim was brought about in front of a judge and they won this would mark a credit file as a CCJ would it not?

That's a long way away, but if it gets to a hearing and you lost, then they would get a judgement against you. Were you not to pay the amount awarded in a month, then the judgement would get registered, and trouble your credit file for 6 years.

But your defence may end the matter once it has been received by the claimant!

    Don't panic.

Pepipoo first before you do anything!!

You are going to be very sceptically regarded until your bona fides are proved. There are reasonably frequent posts here from individuals who have never visited before and claim to have received court papers from private parking companies or to have recently lost cases to them. There is good reason to believe that the majority of such posts originate from PPC's themselves - hence the scepticism.

I suggest that you make your way across to http:// forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=60"]pepipoo .com and set out your case there. You will need to be able to post a scanned in copy of the claim form you have received - depersonalised of your name and address, case reference number (that will include any case reference number that DE may have placed on the papers), barcodes and online log-in details together with any other detail (dates, times and location details) that might identify you. You will probably be asked to disclose your case number to a trusted member so that the online details can be checked.

    Good luck

Thats understandable really, I will get a photo taken of the paperwork and edit it so no details are shown when a get a chance, Theres no way that I want to hand over the cash they are asking for right now.

Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam
  • T_259, if you weren't driving the car when the charge was issued then they have no case whatever against you. Properly defended it ought to result in tears for DE.
