Keep pushing the police, insist that it is a criminal matter and that you will make a complaint if they do not act. Yes, the garage probably has gone into written communication mode only, because they realise that they could potentially be liable, IF the facts you have given us are true.

thank you road hog, I know its hard to believe people on forums such as these.. but the facts I have given are very true..

I want to help them and would have called the dealership myself but needed advice as I have never been in this situation myself and didn't want to make matters worse or sound stupid... ( not having full facts)

thats why I have posted on here - before I try to help/advice them.

They probably have joint liability for delivery of the goods.

Get them involved for non delivery of the goods.

i would think 3 months down the line is a bit late to take issues with the car being released to the third party
