I think i will stay with BT for line rental, and my existing CPS supplier at the mo,and use 18866 when appropriate. At least that way if something goes wrong with my line,i can deal with BT direct, and not through a third party.
By there free weekend package i meant Option 1 which gives you free calls to other members. You do of course have to pay to call non members at the weekend if yo dont take Opt2/3. Sorry i should have worded my posting better.PF.0 -

How long are you tied in on with the line rental?
If I sign up, do TPLus cancel my line rental with BT, plus my call provider as well?
They require 30 days notice to change to another provider for line rental, other than that you could sign up today and as soon as BT/whoever release your line to T+, you could give the 30 days notice and go back. (I phoned T+ at 14:45 to confirm this and had to wait less than 10 seconds to get connected to customer services)
T+ notify BT that the line is being transferred and BT give you notification of the actual transfer date by letter. T+ won't notify 18866 or whoever, and I still use one of them for international calls and those in the UK that aren't free from T+.

What you must remember is that there is a Utility Warehouse Discount Club/Telecom Plus membership fee of £1.76 per month and unless one takes other services to obtain cashback (£10 per extra service up to £50 maximum) and covers that membership fee, it may not make financial sense to join. I live in a small town and taking eveything they provide works well for me. Some people in an area that has lots of different offers on utilities may not save money.

BT Option 2 (£6) equates to T+ More Talk 2 (£5 and lower minimum daytime and call charges)
BT Option 3 (£15) equates to T+ More Talk 3 (£9.50 and lower minimum call charge)
As has been said elsewhere, one needs to make a LOT of calls to make 2 & 3 cheaper than 18866 or similar.
