Hagar,
The Paul Daniels video is an advertising tool that the company uses. You need to thoroughly check your own figures for your own situation, although the company will tell you if they can't beat what you are paying for gas and electricity now (my uncle was told they couldn't beat his electricity price). By taking more services, you get more cashback after the qualifying period (read the terms & conditions) and it is a way for the company to try and keep you loyal. In today's Mail on Sunday, they were the third cheapest for gas, losing out by just over £7 per year in the specific example.
I am an independent distributor with the company and am therefore biased in their favour. My family are all on the phone system which means that we can call each other for free. Line rental is cheaper than BT's, but you may live where there's cable that could be cheaper? The internet access is excellent, but I don't think it is the cheapest. When on dial up I never had to try more than once to log on. I'm now on 1 meg broadband, happy with it and will soon upgrade to 2 meg. Gas & electricity are among the cheapest in the Country. I have a freephone number at £2.35 per month (plus calls) which is also good value. The overall package suits me. You must make your own decision to suit your best interests.

Does anyone know anything about The Utilities Warehouse? An "acquaintance" gave me a video featuring Paul Daniels trying to persuade me to put all my eggs in one basket(gas, elec.,phone, mobile, isp etc) and go with the above. Any help appreciated!
Best to read the T+ threads regarding The Utilities Warehouse and then check out other utilities threads and the Telephone Boards before deciding to put all your eggs in one basket0 -
As the Utility Warehouse and TelecomPlus are one and the same, maybe the title of the T+ Discussion Area needs amending - this dual identity seems to be a "loophole" which is allowing T+ Reps to post thinly disguised ads in different threads without appearing to break the forum rules.
(Though NigeWick from T+ who has posted above did have the rules regarding T+ pointed out to him earlier but has chosen to ignore them - as he said he probably would!)0 -

I don't see how answering a question is advertising, any more than you answering something on British Gas, npower or whatever. If I were to make money from it, I could see your point, but I don't gain anything. Where I do profit, is from the experiences of people who post on the forum.

Nigewick - your reply avoids the point of my post!
T+ posts are not allowed outside of the T+ Discussion thread - which you well know!0 -

You suspect me of signing up under a different name and starting threads so that I can answer them?

If no savings to be made then, nip over to the Telephone Boards and see if you can save on your telephony bills0 -
I have had an email today about the utility warehouse - is it any good or should I steer well clear? Some of their claims do seem too good to be true.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
I have done reading too!
