  • I've been reading your thread, it makes for compelling reading indeed. I can only wish you the best of luck!! Writing about difficult situations always seems to be a great pressure release valve for me also.

I have one question, forgive me if I sound naive...but what does "Bed fund 0/40" mean?

    Sorry, I had to ask!!

Another month has bit the dust, it has certainly been an eventful month, but the good news we now have dad at home, so no more 150 mile round trips to see him.

On a money front, I did ok in August, bills still got paid, it worked out well as some of my money is 4 weekly and between July and Aug I had 2 sets of extra payments (even thou there budgeted into my income and expenditure on my dmp), so that extra helped with all the additional costs, but its still impacted onto Sept's money.

Sept - There be a mini payment going out, but as for dmp thats going to be token this month as still reeling from the hospital visits etc.

Christmas Cake - I'll get my fruit soaking so be nice and plump fruits and a juicy cake.

Runaround - Between doctors, opticians, dentist, vets, hospital, solicitors, school, food shopping, recycling, DD's birthday - dont think there be much time for spending!!

    Money Post

It seems to be a disaster of the month with moneysaving - just seems to be going the other direction, I've had to suspend my dmp payment this month, - still recovering from all the travelling expenses.

Then the car has to go for a MOT this week... and a service as well, needs doing.

Good to have dad home, thou I seem to be swopping the hospital runs for supermarkets, chemists, opticians, dentist, doctors and hospital, but to be honest it been catching up from postponed appointmets.

One of my creditors decided that the £30 pm I was paying wasn't enough.... so they gave it to their legal department - which has back fired, as I have now realised that I can't afford £30 pm and offered £5 which they have told me they have to accept.....

Plan is October 1st going to set myself a 1 in 100 challenge, - got 2 debts around the £100 mark, so Mr Arg goes 1st then Jan 1st start on Mr St... that should then put £10 back into my dmp plan for the rest of the creditors to share.. next debt is £600 mark so that be next to tackle.

If your on a DMP and theres circumstances, there really helpful, last yr i had to change my car, so was able to miss a payment to help in the buying of the car, this time, it was due to all the journeys to the hosp and expenses we had stayin.

I find if I set myself a list tries to keep me in check, sounds daft but if something gets done its a positive..

Def need a miracle for Oct, I'm so organised in the fact that all xmas prezzies (bar parents and DD), just getting round to the wrapping, keep saying I'll buy gift cards, but in reality thats too expensive!

Christmas seems so far away but come Oct, its heck where does the time fly.

    ---

had the car in the garage for Mot and service, - nice bill £359... I've got £250 ready and waiting, just have to do some creative moving money and borrowing for the rest, i really need to get more organised with money, that be a New Years resolution, (or win the lottery).

i've started my mad list, feels so good, more putting stuff away as I had a new bed in July, these bed draws are tiny compared to the other ones. Got 3 more items in my ebay bag, and half a bag chucked out items,

Next big job will be finish the landing, as I need to hit the organisation for Xmas, mainly as we dont know what is happening with dads treatment plan tomorrow and Thursday -feels like an open house, we've got social worker, OT, and his wheelchair is coming, that will be great as give him some fresh air,

Onwards and upwards they say.... xx

I had the weekend away with DD, we picked up a hotel deal and had a really gd time, we were frugal as we took drinks and snacks with us, eat out cheaply, and me being cheeky I even asked for discount in the sea life centre, - got it as well, 15% knocked off!!

A few bits brought ready for xmas, including my present off DD, that was bargain of the century, 3 prs of pjs, 2 nighties £15, (there plus size ones).

Money - I think month is going to be chalked up as dire straights, but on the plus ide, I had my car in for MOT, service and wack of work on the brakes, so that came in as £359, and never went on anyones credit card..

Got DDs birthday, this month, and got her presents, again frugally done and saved up for a few months, - her main present, gone 3 ways, me and mum paid 3/4 of it and DD has topped it up, then shes got a couple of bits to open.

As for my to do list touch wood have no appointments or ru around anyone else for Wed/Thurs so aim to get a couple more bits ticked off. x
