Never have been before so dont know how to begin looking to get there. What is the cheapest way to travel there? Coach? Drive? Ferry? Train? Can you even fly there?
Any help would be appreciatedddd!
We want to go there for the scooter festival over August Bank Holiday

One way would be to get a coach to Southampton (cheaper than train) and you can then catch the ferry over to the Isle of Wight from there.0

the red tunnel ferry goes from southamton https://www.redfunnel.co.uk/?mpch=sem
which i have used 2-3 times
or if you have tesco vouchers you can use them with whitelink ferries http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/product.aspx?R=168&bci=4294967191|Travel*4294967175|Ferries
i would sort it out sooner rather than later for a bank holiday w/e0 -
Probably trains or National Express Coach from Brum to Portsmouth via London, and then the passenger only catamaran to Ryde.
I presume you're not taking your scooter?The man without a signature.0 -
train unless you fancy a nice runReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0

The Wightlink catamaran runs from the end of Pompey Harbour train station. You don't even have to leave the train station.
National Express coaches terminate/originate at The Hard, which is 50 yards from Pompey Harbour train station.
If you are staying in Sandown, Shanklin, or nearby, then there's a train station at Ryde pierhead. Straight off the catamaran and into the station.
If you go via Southampton (to Cowes), either by train or bus, then it's a bit more fiddly.
So, if you are using the bus/train, and unless you are staying in Cowes (or the west of the IoW) I'd go down the Pompey route.0 -
If you can get to London Victoria, I expect most National Express coaches go there, you can get a Greyhound coach from there, direct to the Isle of Wight. The ticket will also include bus travel around the island. http://www.greyhounduk.com/assets/pdf/iow.pdf0
