Swapping a Wrecked Ford Fiesta Zetec Engine - Compatible?

    Got the same thing myself. Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec. Engine overheated by previous owner so get low speed vibration from slightly bent valve.
    My mechanic (ex-Ford maindealer) recommended a swap-out, told me to go by the colour of the cam-cover as each type of engine has a slightly different one.. Not sure if Fiesta would be the same.

    Whilst I agree with you that exactly the same will be the most straight forward to swap over, most 1.25, 1.6, and 1.7's can be made to fit without too much extra work.
